Hello Ms Leyla, due to the effect of genetic predisposition and advancing age, my eyebrows drooped down. I look very tired and old because of this problem. I need to get rid of this problem urgently, Ms. Leyla, so I want to have the Brow Lift surgery, but I want to learn some things before the surgery. What is the recovery process like after Brow Lift surgery?

Hello, there are multiple methods that can be used for eyebrow lifting, but the full recovery period in classical Brow Lift surgery is between 10 -15 days. Stitches of the incisions placed on the scalp area are removed within 7 to 10 days. It is normal to feel pain in the first few days after the surgery, the painkiller recommended by your doctor will eliminate your pain problem. After the surgery, edema may occur in and around the operated area, this edema decreases visibly within a few days, but it takes approximately 10 days to completely disappear. In the first days after the operation, you may have difficulty moving your eyebrows, you should definitely avoid movements that will force your eyebrows. Since the recovery process after brow lift surgery is quite comfortable compared to many aesthetic operations, patients in general can return to their daily lives quickly.

Hello Leyla, I want to have an eyebrow lift. However, I have 2 small children and no one to take care of for a long time. How is the recovery process after brow lift surgery? Thanks.

Hello, I recommend the endoscopic eyebrow lift operation to my patients who have problems with time. In this operation, we make millimetric incisions under the scalp. We perform the procedure by entering through these incisions with small cameras. The risk of edema formation is also less in endoscopic brow lift surgeries. After 7 -10 days, the stitches are also removed, and after a maximum of 15 days, our patients return to their daily lives as if they had not undergone surgery.

First of all, dear doctor, I follow your successful works and convey my congratulations. I think I am ready for a Brow Lift operation, but I need to plan the recovery process because of my work. What is the healing process after Brow Lift surgery?

Hello, thanks a lot. Of course we recommend the Brow Lift surgery. Bruising and swelling can usually appear on the upper eyelids. The amount of swelling will vary from patient to patient. The second day after surgery usually looks worse, so don’t panic because most of the swelling goes away quickly within the first week. Pain and headaches during 1 -2 weeks is normal. If the pain is unusual and last more than 1 to 2 weeks, I prescribe pain relievers. Do not drink alcohol, drive or operate machinery after anesthesia or while taking pain medication. Do NOT take Aspirin, Vitamin E or any medicine containing Aspirin for at least 2 weeks after surgery. Bed rest and ice compresses are recommended for the first 48 hours. Walking, leg exercises or leg exercises with light weights and bike riding can be resumed after one week. After 6 weeks, you can resume aerobic activity, swimming, jogging.
